Qualifications: Structural Engineer
PROFESSIONAL BACKGROUND
MISSION STATEMENT:
I have a strong personal commitment to providing the right answers for suspected problems in our client's home. Giving our clients the most cost effective repair for their home, if repairs are necessary, has become a passion for me. I am really bothered when homeowners pay for the wrong repair or even get the wrong advice. We approach every project with a focus on aesthetics, functionality, cost, and structural engineering.
Never Forget:
- Structural Engineers diagnose the problem and design solutions.
- Contractors do the work.
- Sales people sell services.
I received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil & Environmental Engineering in 1975 and a Masters of Science, majoring in Civil and Structural Engineering in 1976, both from the University of Cincinnati.
I am a licensed Professional Structural Engineer in the States of Ohio, Kentucky and Indiana.
I have over 20 years of construction field management experience working on some smaller projects to the $57 million remodeling of Tri-County Mall when the second floor was added to an active shopping mall.
I have been completing structural inspections for home owners since November, 1997 and have performed approximately 8,000 inspections. I have been on television with Howard Ain and Paula Toti of Channel 12 news and John Matarese of Channel 9 news and we still get client referrals from them.
I have taught over 55 - 3 hour Continuing Education classes for the Cincinnati Board of Realtors, the Northern Kentucky Board of Realtors and the various Real Estate Offices. I teach these classes for three reasons; to provide your Realtor with the most accurate information to protect a home owner and buyer, to educate as many people that the most cost effective way to control structural repair costs is to first call the engineer and for future business.
I have taught Continuing Education classes about foundations and structural problems to Home Inspectors and at the National Convention for the American Society of Home Inspectors at their National Convention.
I have written articles that have been published in several local Community Press newspapers.
